What's new

General/Other - Scorpion Scorpion has TWO teleports and it no longer tracks 100%.

You could do that in MK9 too via instant air teleport. It's just was too slow to be practical for many things you would want neutral teleport for.

Scorpion will finally be good for once lol I've been rooting for him for the longest, he's not even my favorite but i mean he's the poster boy of the series, I'm glad they gave him a break lol

Not at all. Scorpion never had a tracking Teleport in MK1-4. They always had a terminal distance and could be used for escaping in those games.
I wasn't referring to his teleport. I've always known about the older games having his teleport function the same way. I meant MKX as a whole.

It's funny because the strongest and most broken character MK has ever had was MKDA Scorpion with just his Pi Gua stance alone.

Had an insanely quick 50/50 mix up that could be back dash canceled if blocked.

The strikes even tracked you if you sidestepped.

Unavoidable .

He steadily declined since that game.

I very much feel he's gonna be a great character man. I hope everyone is. I want all characters to have great tools so matches boil down to skill and not what you have that's more easily abused than your opponent.

Variations are going to be great.

MKDA Scorp wasn't even good cuz of his 50/50...it was because he was practically unapproachable, with the single best normal in the game thanks to BDC.

@MITDJT broke down the tele system before, you have free control over the teleport.

Teleport (will track)
Hold down while teleporting (will track but it will cancel)
Hold back while teleporting (will not track)
Hold back and down while teleporting (will not track and will cancel) you can see this last one in the opening video i guess.

Scroll to 9:23 (there are other moments as well) and you'll see two different teleports....an offensive style teleport from the air...and then a simple evasive one after it. Clear as day.

Hm. What is the point of teleporting back without cancelling an attack?

I doesn't go to the other side, it just goes fullscreen backwards
The question stays, what is the point of teleporting backwards without cancelling attack after said teleport? Some epic spacing/mindgame stuff? :p

Point being, I'm pretty sure someone said in his impressions writeup, that there is just "teleport backwards" (tp,b), and I assumed it's "neutral" teleport, just like tp,d, but, well, backwards.
