Tricky is entitled to his opinion. I don't entirely disagree with him. Bits matches were pretty great but there were a fair amount of matches I felt were pretty boring to watch as well. And I'd say based on the massive amounts of boos that people don't find the lopsided counter pick matches that entertaining either.

I mean at the end of the day it's the nature of competitive fighting games. You got the people who will win at all cost and you gotta respect them and you got he character specialist who will often get knocked out because of a bad matchup. And I'd argue that from a spectating standpoint it's a lot less exciting watching a player lose because of a bad matchup (see Dizz Cage vs. Kenshi or Bit Catwoman vs. Aquaman). This is not to belittle those who counter pick, still takes skill to win and be proficient with multiple characters but for me it's uninteresting to watch lopsided matches.

Congrats to Theo, making a strong statement at this tournament. My mouth is drooling for the Theo vs. Jupiter matchup, can't wait to see that.

Also congrats to all that made top 8. Whiteboi surprised me the most, he played phenomenal. 16 bit had some true veteran comebacks, hand down my favorite player to watch in this community. Filipenoman getting top 8 in 3 games. PL despite getting beaten pretty bad made top 8 so that's not bad in my eyes, he brought the hype that's for sure. FK jr also making top 8 with Bane. HoneyBee with the sick flash play and awesome setups. As well as Forever King with another top 8 placement.

I'm also surprised at how much the neutral game of injustice has developed. Just a lot more walking forward, better spacing, and whiff punishing in general. It seems a lot of top players are more accustomed to it now, hoping to the see the neutral game develop more in the future.

I just got home and want to say this is absolutely the best tournament I have ever attended by a good margin.

I'll do shoutouts in the morning since I'm probably going to write a 4 page essay again.

Man I hear you... There were several of my fellow AL members in Tekken Top 8 (I think one was in GF actually?) and I still couldn't watch a full set.

Congrats to everyone at this tourney for making it extremely entertaining and hype to watch.

Has to be a special mention for top 8 though, that was just amazing. I am gutted 16 Bit didn't take it, I really had a feeling he was going to pull it off.
