Interactables need to be disabled for tournament play

Yea because background bounce adds SO MUCH DMG to someones combos. Stop it dude. Background bounce does not have to be on.

Characters like Joker need it. I agree with you wholeheartedly though, interactables need to go.
 
Intractable are fine and add a interesting layer of strategy adn interesting tech options to each characters. Theirs nothing random about any of them and I can't think of any situation since the patch where someone got robbed because of interactables. Yeah some characters make better use of them than others but that's fighting games.


You do know you can do late tele as it's being thrown at your previous position to punish right.
you know there are set ups where this doesnt work right?

To be fair it isn't without merit. Interactable OTGs are stupid but backdashing interactables is something that you could practice and "level up" at. It's something you don't really see yet but I think it's going to become more common among top players to minimize interactable effects as the game's life goes on
 
umm no. its a trademark and core part of the game and it wouldnt be injustice anymore without it. also, what happenend to adapting? wait, "how am i supposed to adapt to otgs?". answer: dont get knocked down that much. its possible. or otg in return. if both doesnt work, you probably gotta Level up.

If the other player did some setup for it they played the match out right and got their reward. Like what setups are you referring to? Give evidence, generally curious so I know what to look out for.


Though I will admit Zod's ability to hit trait and get guaranteed stuff is pretty sus.

Also I know some people are gonna scream this is stupid and this thread shouldn't exist but as someone who disagrees with PL I'd rather see this thread not devolve into stupidity, good discussion is always great.

BG bounce is the only reason my character might be able to beat sinestro one out of 10 tournament sets.

In all seriousness though some interactables are broken and I would be fine with stages being banned. Like Fortress laser and Alley dumpster. But they shouldn't be altogether.

But on the other hand you have stages like that that allow lower tiers a chance to compete (like GA)

We could have something like tournament standard stages. Wayne Manor is pretty balanced and could be one I guess

Free interactible usage is what separates Zod, MMH, and Sinestro/Batman w/ trait from the rest of the cast. There may be others...

I think its really dumb, but the game is balanced besides those few.
 
This thought has been on my mind of late. I like the interactibles in this game a lot and I hate considering the possibility of turning them of, but one of the major reasons why the top 3 in this game are so scary is that they get to control the interactible game on a level that none of the rest of the cast can. If that was taken away from them they would hardly be mediorce....but they might be a lot less scary.
Then again, the effect it might have on other characters (including my own) might be disproportionate....so I still lean towards them staying for now.
