Yes. Her d1 has almost no range, and everything other than her d1, stand 1, & d2 is 13 frames or slower with shit dick range. On top of that her zoning is just alright, her wake ups are trash, and @pumpkincream she has mix ups, they're just kinda meh. But they can still open people up.

Oh and batmans slide is not fully invincible.
I don't think 13 frames is slow at all. My opinion, though.

Compared to the other dominant footsie tools in this game, yes it's slow and also her longest ranged 13 frame move is also very short (f2). Her best footsie tools are even slower at 16 frames( lift & b2).

It's not about how good they are, it's about how good everyone else is in comparison.

Imo (and in most peoples opinion), the following characters are certainly top 10: MMH, Aquaman, Flash, Bane, Zod, Batgirl, Batman, Wonder Woman

That's 8 right there, so the last 2 spots are up for grabs with the rest of the cast, and in order for Lobo or Raven (or Doomsday or Lex even) to compete for "top 10," they need to be better than these contenders for the #9 & 10 slots: Superman, Black Adam, Sinestro, Killer Frost, Zatanna, Deathstroke, Green Lantern.

The way I see it though, top 10 is a bill. You're right to think Lobo and Raven are strong characters, because they are. And so is over half the cast. Everyone I mentioned above (that's 19 characters) is strong. That's a testament to how well balanced Injustice is. If people want to concern themselves with who's in the "top whatever" I think it only makes sense to refocus that discussion to the top 15/20 - not being top 10 doesn't mean your character sucks in this game.
Took the words right out of my mouth.

Anyone who thinks Raven and/or Lobo are top 10 needs to explain which 2 characters currently in the top 10 need to be pushed down. Thats the only way you can make this argument.

I have thought raven is a bill for a long time. But I play deathstroke so my view on her is a little skewed. It's just that man, wakeups are a big thing to be missing when you have no fast overhead and no stand out footsies.

I think lobo is pretty good. I would say somewhere close to deathstroke on the tier list.

Regarding batman's slide, at which point is it not invincible? On startup? or is it a little bit into the slide animation? Hopefully what I'm asking makes sense.

Lobo is secret top tier. I think guys like oxygen are finally getting the playstyle down. I think after some refinement we'll see Lobo doing extremely well. Shit, he's already doing well. Just only a few of us are playing him and only one of us goes to majors really.

I get really antsy with Lobo because I know how much damage he does and I'm always going for huge damage. But if a Lobo player doesn't just blow through his meter, I can't think of a tool he doesn't have. He has a million mixups. Most of them are safe as long as he has trait. Even if he doesn't he can still knock you down and has HELLA oki.

What can't Lobo deal with?

The Injustice meta-game has evolved to focus on momentum and mix-ups that lead into full combos and Raven is - and always has been - very limited in both of those areas.

Make her b2 an overhead (which going by the animation it so obviously was at some point during her development) and I would put her in the top 10 even with her shit wake-ups. At the moment, I do not think she is top 10. Most of the characters she gives a really hard time to are already considered outside of the top 10, and out of the usual "top" characters only Aquaman and Green Lantern (especially Green Lantern) struggle with her.

The good thing is that Raven still gets away with an awful lot of shit that she shouldn't (FOR CRYING OUT LOUD PEOPLE RESPECT AND PUNISH D1~LIFT!!!!) and has dropped off the radar as far as big threats go, so good Raven players can still exploit the lack of MU experience that has been happening since the game came out to help tip the game in their favour.

And before anyone brings up trait zoning, stop pressing buttons and block. It's not even a mix-up - just walk forward and then hold down. Forward and down. Forward and down. And then when you block a Soul Crush Raven's at -20 and you get a free dash and often full combo. Or just teleport around it. Or armour through it. Or out-zone her as Soul Crush only goes 2/3 of the screen and the two full-screen moves are over 20 frames each. Or air-dash to force Raven to guess on which pillar to use. Just don't hold fowards and then cry about it being OP.

Just go in practice and try stuffing it.
I have. A lot. I have options that counter it completely. I'm just wondering what stuffs it. Most of the time, after a hook charge, I can walk slightly forward and do a standing 3 which has pretty good range. If they have an advancing special, I can do a 3 a little early and this actually stuffs all of bane/doomsday wakeups. But I tried this on batman's slide and I couldn't get it to work at all. Any more specifics? I'll work on it again.

A character with nearly all 5-5's would firmly place them in the middle of mid tier. The chars above him would have more favorable match ups than 5-5s.

When it comes to this game, I'm iffy when it comes to talking about tier list and MU's. Given the right player, fundememtals and understanding of this game, any character in this game can be a force to be reckoned with. Everyone used to talk abt lex being a bad character, then revolver was like "nah son". Same thing with lobo, then captain oxygen comes in and is like "NAH SON!". It doesn't matter how good or bad a character is in this game. I've been beaten by every character in this game at least once.

I think you described my situation, I just didn't realize that so many characters were all so good somehow. My mistake, everybody!
Yes. All these tier placement threads are poopy that serve no purpose but to downplay/upplay, contributing with 0 knowledge about the game.
I was asking because I was seeking knowledge as to why these characters are (or conversely aren't) as good as I thought they were. It's not like I'm insisting they're better than everyone without willingness to discuss
who ever made this... GURL YOU FO REAL?
just prompting discussion, I was for real until I got a list of all the characters that are more than likely better :)

Thank you for the Lobo reply, raven discussion sortof overshadowed the Main Man. I've been thinking for a while he's if not top still very solid in most aspects, but what do I know right?

Thanks for the post, very informative, the range/negativity of soul crush are things I hadn't realized when posting

very fair point

You and I both, I'm glad all the characters have at least one powerful attribute to them
