Injustice at East Coast Throwdown 2014 Will Be 3/5

I have just received wonderful news courtesy of TYM's own Traitless Raven Riazy.
I use trait now..............kinda......Damn it. But yeah i never was 100% sure about why there was limited streams, but I just knew we did not have a dedicated one.

SO in other news

PEOPLE, this our chance to really have a great tournament. This has always been of the hypest events and is usually my favorite of the season. Show up and support this. This can be a huge mover in making evo 3/5

But if people bring dedicated 4G cards, why would bandwidth be an issue? Is there a concern that they won't receive service from this venue?
thats pretty much the only issue with 4G cards... It starts with the event location and then the actual spot on the hotel floor.. Sometimes the streamer sets up in a spot or is forced to be in a spot that might be a potential dead zone so it wouldnt matter who's 4G card is used its where the setup actually is and if they get true 4G speed thru-put.

I think anyone who attenpts to stream off a 4G card needs to test ahead of time and if the signal isnt great move to an area that might have better signal in the room or if its just a big dead spot then its a no go or a hard connection is needed...

East Coast Throwdown is going to be SOOOOOOOOOO free so I'm probably not gonna go. It would be too easy of a first place and not worth my time, I'll let other players have a shot of doing something there

Would love to see this, since I can't remember the last east coast major you won. #winfirstthenhumblebrag. kappa?

This is really awesome news. I'm glad the format seems to be changing. Better late than never, in my opinion. Props to ECT and all the TO's who are seeing the quality of the IGAU competition increased by making this decision.

I remember the initial reaction to this: http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2013/jul/15/producer-injustice-tournaments-should-be-35-all-time-vote-your-preferred-format/

EX:

Hector Sanchez needs to STFU. First of all Injustice is a fun game but its doesn't seem like its built with competitive play in mind. You release a patch almost every month to balance a game and whether you whether the complaints are valid you care more about the opinions when it comes to balancing your game from casual players.
sounds like a whiny attempt to get more air time on his game.

I'd rather hear this from someone in the community who competes, not someone trying to sell the game.

In other words Injustice the game I developed needs more air time at tournaments but I could give a f*** about the competitive community in general.

After attending Civil War, I am definitely going to this if I can get the following Monday off work. 3/5 is the right direction for this game, and I'd be happy to support a tournament that does its part to make this the norm.

Hello folks!

The reason we're limiting it to two streams is because if a 4G stream doesn't work out, then the event looks bad in the grand scheme of things.

I will ask this, though. Who's card can we use? @Shock is it your personal card? Would you want to run up to Secaucus and do a test stream on a laptop from the ballroom?
I have my own card. I will see about heading there this weekend. I can bring all my equipment and stream like usual for ECT if it all works out, but I was under the impression that the 2 stream deal was its own animal.

As it should be. NorCal runs all of its Injustice locals 3/5, idk why the rest of the community doesn't adopt the rule.
The rest of the community is slowly adopting this rule. 3/5 takes more time to run which means existing schedules need to be re-done. Now that tourney organisers are seeing that 3/5 is becoming the desired way we should hopefully see more tourneys (such as this one) plan for the format in advance.
