Its been a while since i've been hella nervous before a tournament.

Since the last one, i bought a Arcade Stick (HORI) learned the mechanics as the high i could get, and practice my Execution with Ibuki to a level a regular person would think is insane. Been practicing SJC all they way in this past two weeks to increase my arsenal.

Anyway, lots of ppl are aiming for 1st place so everyone is saying they game has changed.

I dunno what will happen, because instead of learning techs and shit, i just worked my ass out to understand how the game works, and tried to match my execution with it, as well as some of the stuffs that can be pulled out with the understanding of the mechanics.

Man i'm nervous, any advice?

First thing's first. I get being nervous, but remember to keep things in perspective. FG's and gaming are things that enhance our lives, not define them. Take it in, enjoy the moment, and remember that you get the privilege of playing a game at a higher level for fun. Take that and run with it and remember that there are FAR worse things that you could be nervous about than a video game. That's about all I have for you, LOL.

FG's are a way of life, if anyone tells you different knock them out with a Falcon Punch or Burn Knuckle and then end them with a Fatality or Iori Yagami's Orochi Power.

Thanks that will definitely help.

the fact is that, some competitors have been calling me on phone saying "I'm not the same guy you took out at your house, and the guy you took out in the tournament"

According to some of these ppl, they have been playing frequently against other players to enhance they chances, so i don't have a clue of what they cooked, i just learned the mechanics, and trained lots of setup counters by watching High level torunament plays on youtube. So the curiosity of what they prepared to counter my game is making me nervous lol

Stop letting it make you nervous and start letting it motivate and excite you.

When I play softball, I never know what someone has learned over the offseason. The best I can do is be excited to play. Nerves only make you make mistakes...
