@macro we have played since then....I just took a break from the game when the PS4 came out for a few months...anyways like I said the game count doesn't matter I am sure we played a closer set since then. That is not the point really. Chongo is really good, the video just helps outlines that Frost has the advantage in the MU imo, and how annoying parry can be. I am sure that we both could have played better.

How much better do you do? I just want to see some more recent games so it shows the matchup a bit better,i would record myself and Ne'er-do-well but it would be from a tablet camera lol.
Without bragging it's usually even or slightly his favor. I'm calling him free or me good, I just understand the MU.

Good stuff! But what do you think about the matchup and do you feel that it's hard to be zoning with staff in this matchup with Nightwing?

Chongo is the only NW I've played that understands the MU. But parry, I always feel bad for him when I land it lol.


I dont see how this could be 5-5.
May seem like a silly question, but are you punished for wrong parry reads?

Batgirl has to take risks when we're doing d1 pressure since her d1 is 8 frames, and only her flying bat can be used.

If she gets you full screen you kinda have to hold bolas. She can machine gun them and you can't trade ( 8/5% vs 30% into 50/50) and in staff you can't jump them.

Batgirl doesn't really need to spend meter that much so she'll always have at least one bar for pushblockjng, and since we can't AA she gets j3 into mixups for days.

IMO 6-4 babs.

she is my secondary. I usually beat other NW with her. her normals are pretty bad length wise because she has tiny lil trex arms. If you watch alot of BG players play they do alot of balzy shit like run up b2 or b1 or raw jump ins because you have to respect them in a way. you can outzone her in escrima but its tricky. do slow ground sparks because if she teleports you can block and punish. idk how this is supposed to be played to be honest. I have never played a real Batgirl. @Sajam played yoloswagg gucci swagg sonic fox at NEC so he has exp. I have trouble because her wake ups are so good, and she gets rewarded for all things random lol.

To be honest i don't know much about this matchup besides this.
Know this is another matchup that Nightwing cannot be seen much in staff mode except in the corner.
But as far as getting it's pretty easy if your in escrima also if you are dashing in you can see when BG is going to do her teleport
so you can do a b2 punish. Also doing wing dings is not a good idea because of her teleport.
That's all i know for right now but i'll get back to you with more info because i'll try and play a bat girl main soon.

I agree with this, which is why I partly why I asked. You being one of the most successful NW players, have posted in quite a few MU numbers and also said its potentially in her favor but I feel the opposite so I just wanted to know youre reasoning since you have better xp in the mu

it's 5-5, the only reason why it may favor BG is because she's a broken character. NW is great at neutral, he gets beat full screen against BG. Staff is okay in this match to control space but not the best tool defensive if she gets you full screen.

Batgirl is 5-5 imo. It's a typical Nightwing MU. Escrima to get in, Staff to stay in. In staff up close she can't jump in, dash in, and her only answer to D1 pressure is pushblock or flying bat. Fullscreen I'm not too sure but I presume if you get your zoning game started first in staff then she has to make some correct reads to establish her zoning game. I can't imagine Escrima being useful for zoning because she can teleport your wingdings and trade Bola for your Sparks.

you get a free 1 Ground Pound punish after.

I'm trying to see how I can blow up this wake up in Escrima. I know marco or someone told me to cancel into staff spin to stuff it. I was looking for something a little more clean/guaranteed.

If you end combo's with Staff Spin at the highest point, I know not a single wake-up will hit a cross-over jump. But I don't think it will punish it.

This is general but just backdash after you block the first part of the cartwheel. You avoid the low and the high and you block the overhead which is punishable.

Flash: forced to block b22, and pretty sure mb sonic pound will fuck us up
Sinestro: b12 punishes I believe
Lantern: b13
Man hunter: can probably use a trait normal, but it doesn't matter since he punishes regular staff spin.

I'll add more later

Wow, how does MMH punish staff spin? I don't know these things 'cos I haven't bought him lol
