Video/Tutorial Blocking Superman Divebomb Set ups

AI have been catching the devil trying to get this thing to cross up. Anyone know the timing for when I am able to do the instant jump forward dive bomb cause I usually get what happens to Cat in the video. I jump and I just get j3. And when I do get the cross, it doesn't come out fast enough to stop wake ups.

it's just really input heavy. if you're j3'ing its because you didn't press down fast enough and went straight for the 3. It's just practice, really. nothing sexy or any kind of shortcut that I know of.

Hard Knockdowns are almost impossible to be crossed up in the corner, hurtbox isn't big enough. The only true setup (almost) is if it's a hard knockdown or not. And the only move with such freedom is "man of steel". You get a low jab after, or even repeat the string if combo hadn't too many hits (like midscreen to corner), you waste your time with b23.

When you do B23, they fall face forward and only their legs are in the corner. This makes it really hard, if not impossible, to cross up because there's so much room for error, and the opponent's back is the real hitbox. The best divebomb setups are 11, St 1 D1, and F3.

And if I'm not mistaken, if you tech roll those divebomb always ends up front.

Correct, which is why B23 is a bill. It gives the illusion of hard knock down goodness, but if the divebomb only hits on 1 side, it defeats the purpose.

So basically, superman can never cross you up with divebomb unless you do somethign stupid? No hard knockdown after which it's a pure guess?

You can techroll all divebombs that don't end with a hard knockdown. If it is HKD, you have to guess.
 
your not doing the right setups. and there are divebomb set ups that i use that will always cross up weather you tech roll or not. i will not go in any further detail because i do not want to offend anyone. thread coming soon with the Superman Supreme Guide i will be writing. good luck fellow supers
 
just think about this if you end your corner combo in the corner with f2 d13 its a hard knockdown they cant tech roll, forcing them to guess the divebomb. just something to think about

im sorry but this thread is not right.
Looking forward to your thread, then! I'm learning superman for real (finally) and I've been searching tech threads for true divebomb setups. I've also messed with f2d13 in the corner for HKD but it's still not consistent. I haven't had much time to play lately, though. Took superman into training mode for like an hour today to get all his stuff back down.
