It seems like once he pushblocks you while having trait he has a free vortex but yeah I'd imagine you could do a string and MBB3 or MBF3 cancel but that takes two bars and could be a tough read

Armor thru the pushblock? No.
You can bait the pushblock by stopping your strings but that's risky. If you backdash and the Sinestro player reads it, you're getting punished.

UGH...at various ranges you can get the vortex on this.

The only good thing is it stops Sinestro players from spamming EX FB.

It's (very) nice tech, but I don't think it changes his bad matchups much. In his problem matchups (i.e., aquaman), it's very difficult to get trait out. Even if you get trait out in those matchups, chances are you will be at a life disadvantage and the opponent can turtle the whole time (not risk getting pushblocked). Aquaman still 7-3, KF and MMH still somewhere between 6/4 and 7/3, etc. But yeah - his good matchups just got a little better.

No. It can change the AM match-up w/o question. The KF WILL change if you can pushblock slide into this. It takes away her best option in the mu. MMH would ALSO change. Now he cannot rush you down. You get trait out and it's in Sinestro's favor.

Now look at his other match-ups. They just got much worse. Grundy and Bane are probably okay, but everyone else?

I am speaking of the Lex pushblock unblockable into mine mechanic, not the result.

Sinestro did not need this tech and now I cannot see how he doesn't shoot up the charts. I hate to say it, but this is not good for the rest of the cast.

But i must know , does he get full trait safely vs anyone in the cast?

Thinking too hard on what string using to cancel for it , 112xxtrait charge isn't guaranteed , d2 trait charge? Ugh it's gonna be ugly if he gets it for free.

Even then lotsa characters have to close the gap before stopping him to charge trait.

Killer Frost should still do fine :p. Tough to get trait out. But yeah I heard about this tech, but was waiting for people to revel and it is dirty.
