what would u do?

hit me up on psn: mr_diem
let's say u hit your opponent with a d1, u would be at +0 ( assuming he was crouching). let's say u want to continue your pressure without risking much. i'd do another d1, since it's her fastest move, cancelled into military stance for a 50/50. problem is if the opponent doesn't respect your first d1 and crosses u up, ur d1 whiffs and u might get comboed. To solve this problem i'd do d4, but it doesn't have the same start up of d1 and u might still eat some d1s or cage's f3 for example.
d1 can also whiff if when u hit your opponent with your first d1, there was some space in between you and him. what should i do to continue my pressure without risking that much? i know it's match specific too but let's think in general

Who hired this guy, WTF?
Yeah if you're that close i would try a tick throw set up or move backwards to be in d4 range....or ex cartwheel

If they try to jump over your second D1, you can always dash under them to make their JiP whiff and then you're in range to D4.

I'm not sure if this works with Sonya's D1 but I do this with a lot of peoples D3 (Shang, Cage, Sub to name a few).

EDIT: It looks like Sonya's D1 duration is 3-4 frames slower in duration compared to the characters mentioned above, so what I said might not work. But at the very least you can always just D4 them when they try to jump over, since her hurtbox becomes so low.
