Ok, so on Twitter Keits said that he's getting too busy and it costs him too much money to run the event.

That makes more sense.

Well bummed to hear it's ending but I'm excited to do my first ufgt. Woulda gone out last year and probably would have met the GGA guys earlier but the date snuck up on me.

Keits attiutude made me wanna dive kick him in the face... Sorry... just being honest..

I loved how he said he "supports NRS" but clearly always put their games on the back burner... The weird thing is NRS is a Chicago based company but their games were secretly shunned upon ...

I see it like Vandy (just using Vandy as an example because his last tourney was recent and was incredibly accommodating to the NRS family). Big E, Jebailey and a few other big TO's are great) is the complete opposite of Keits... Vandy cares and took the community's concernes and requests and made them happen. They way Vandy communicates with his customers is great.. Keits? nah... .... GO ahead and ask Keits even a simple question behind the power of the Internet and a keyboard you will get a smug reply.

How about everyone just say that it's EC vs Midwest beef instead of tournament beef.

Damn I want some Italian Beef.

I couldn't care less about conspiracy theories or drama. Also, I can assure you that I know much more than you can even wrap your mind around.

Either way, the event runs on time. Players have consistently had a great time more often than not. They get paid. There's lots of fun stuff to do outside of the main games (panels, mystery, auction tourney, etc) as well.

As someone who was commentating MK and Injustice at that tournament, I know full well what it was like to be there. I left the venue after helping out at around 2am. Got home around 3:30a. I woke up at 7am just to make sure I can make it on time. It's a once a year thing. You think that bothered me? It was much better than waiting 6 hours for my first match at Revelations. Which at that point I didn't even care.

Instead of crying about NRS games supposedly being treated like crap, I actually try to do something about the issues so that they don't happen again. Hostility does not make progress.

much respect to you and what you mentioned that you did and do.. You support this community , no doubt.. Keits being a prick has nothing to do with you and your efforts... Actions speak louder than words and there's a reason he's the most hated TO (by a landslide)

Good news I guess... The guy has more love for dive kick than MK and Injustice anyway so who cares.
I mean....this is the issue here folks.

Were always acting the victim when it comes to our games. Yes, I know were all NRS fan boys/girls but the fact of the matter is a majority (if not all) of these tournaments started as SF tournaments . The fact that NRS games are there in general is extremely flattering and we should be appreciative of that. If keits came here and saw all these comments talking about how hes hating on the NRS scene what incentive does he have to make us more of a priority? Further more, our numbers have never even come close to any SF major so we really shouldnt act all entitled when we struggle to get 80 people while SF gets 250 easy. When your at these tournaments take a second or two to tell the TO theyre doing a great job and we really appreciate them having our game there. Until we start making SF type numbers, the numbers that pay for the fees of the event, we shouldnt even be considering discussing things like this. Cmon folks!

Many good things came from UFGT in the past. 9 wasn't even THAT bad. If it wasn't for UFGT7 then Team GGA may not exist. I met many good friends at UFGT7. LBSH UFGT has done more good than bad for the MKC.

Can you elaborate on this? I don't know the logistics of things like this, but wouldn't you have to pay to use the space anyway?
Not if you book up a hotel. Lots of organizers run their events this way and still charge venue fees.

I'm just being conspiracy/illuminati to troll and annoy people. Don't mind me.

UFGT pays out for a ballroom, equipment, and streamer(s), just like many other tournaments. It also produces a panels room, the carnival games area, and custom trophies. All these things cost money. Anybody trying to clown you into believing UFGT (or any full-size tournament) doesn't have serious overhead costs isn't your friend.
