GEC Forever King wins Injustice: Gods Among Us at Kumite in Tennessee 2014!

For the first time since June, I was actually excited about Injustice again. But not for King, Pig, or any of the top 8 finishers. I was thrilled with @General M2Dave every match I saw him. I know, I know, we only deal in results on TYM and not "almost" victories... but that almost real master victory vs Wonder Woman was the most hype part of the tournament for me. The debate is over. Props to Dave for reminding everyone just how adamant and resolute of a player he truly is. Too many people seem to have forgotten.

KIT was incredible. Easily one of the best, if not the best, Injustice tournaments. So many close matches. So many huge moments where we didn't legitimately know what could possibly happen next. Great character variety in top 8. Consistently competitive matches all throughout the tournament. I hope all the non-Injustice stream viewers saw this tournament and look at it in a different light now. The game is awesome.

@RYX remember when your Bane downplaying was so much? When you bodied my Catwoman & i was like "bitch, he is not the worst in the game" then you called me a scrub for losing to the "worst character"?

I only use characters with wakeup scoops.
Still waiting on Foxy to make a comeuppance on calling Goomba a bad Wonderwoman while Goomba proceeds to make top 8 at a major beating all kinds of big names.

-Congrats to Foreverking as usual for doing well at a major.
-Congrats to Max and Saltface, repping the Emperors well (is Max still an Emperor?)
-Congrats to Pig of the Hut for breaking his curse and delivering helllla.
-Congrats to 16bit for making top 8 with the most booty buttcheeks worst character in fighting game history. Major props for his play.

If Max continues to build upon his play, I can say with almost certainty that he will win or make top 8 at every major he attends. His Bane is scary good.

What does GEC stand for? As far as tournament goes, the top 8 results would most likely be different if they stuck to 2 out of 3. How many times did the player who dropped the first 2 games go on to win the set?

Injustice is more hype when more time is allowed for players to adjust.

Just kidding, of course. Good job Max. I'm sorry I couldn't be there to cheer you on but you did awesome and the Bane community is lucky to have a representative like you.
