Any PS Vita owners on TYM?

I've decided to give my 360 to my baby brother and buy a Vita. Reason being is that I just recently started working two jobs. One full time. One part time. Between work, and my girlfriend I really don't have the time to dedicate to a full blown console. Something on the go would be nice for me. I owned the original PSP back in Christmas of '05. I loved it. I've already pre ordered Injustice Ultimate Edition, and MK9 is a must have. Besides those two titles what are some games that you guys would recommend for the vita? The only other game I'm excited about picking up for it is The Amazing Spiderman. The library isn't that huge. What are your thoughts?

I'm on the vita. Dragon's Crown is a perfect old school D&D RPG for the vita. I feel that game is more suited to the handheld despite it's console brother having multiplayer. Don't have any other suggestions for the vita unfortunately.

Thanks. I've heard good things about that game. Do you have faith that they'll start making better games for it? I do. Especially with the PS4 right around the corner.

uncharted was pretty fun, not as good as console versions though

gravity rush was really creative

and i played a bunch of MK9 and Playstation All stars before

still want to try killzone mercenary

Killphil what do you despite its console brother having multiplayer? the vita has multiplayer too...and the latest patch just allowed crossplay between vita and ps3. I just hate the fact that you have until chapter 9 to unlock it.

- Soul Sacrifice (if you like monster hunter type of game)
- LIMBO
- Both Rayman games (Origins and Legends)
- Assassin's creed 3 Liberation
- Sly Cooper Thieve in Time

I dont know yet about console quality games but it looks like we will be getting a lot of indie games in the future.

I was unaware that the game was patched, but it didn't start off with cross play or multiplayer.

I will be picking up a vita soon because I'm also in the same boat, I'm just not able to sit down and play my console like the old days for hours upon hours....I will be getting a vita for the fighters mostly (DOA5U,MK9,INJUSTASS, MAYBE MARVEL, AND HOPEFULLY BLAZBLUE IN THE FUTURE)

Who do you play as? I just picked up the game and started playing as the Elf. now switched to the amazon. thinking about the dwarf next

I don't know how to tag, but thanks for the list, and that suggestion. I'll definitely get PS Plus after I pay rent in two weeks. From what I've seen on Youtube Killzone seems to be a really beautiful game.

I have a Vita and it's been collecting dust for quite some time. Regardless of the games, I just don't see the practicality of the system when I can do just about anything on my smartphone these days. The only thing I use my Vita for is to play all the classic PS1 games I used to love so much, but that's only when I am travelling. A bit of buyer's remorse, I have.

Hopefully with the launch of the PS4, the Vita will have some newfound life to it.

Well, I bought the vita last week. To start, I feel they did an amazing job with mk 9 on the system. Even online is fixed to a point that it feels great to play. As for the "lack of games" syndrome that a lot of folks are referring to; All I can say is that the console has a few good ports for the moment. But the vita, when announced, was said that it would be developed for play around the next generation Playstation.. meaning Ps4. This coming month were getting Injustice: Gods among us. We have the ability to play all the mortal kombat games from the classics to current, We have Street fighter the classics and I believe SFXT. If you are a fan of the FPS genre then you can be excited that the vita got it's first AAA fps with killzone; mercenary; and Borderlands 2 is already a confirmed title for 2014 on the growing system. Not to mention you have a marketplace that features a plethora of indie games and every classic psX and psp game you can think of. My point is that the system has a bright future. It just needs to see more developers making classic games instead of ports. For the moment I think the "PortStation Vita" is still a great system and if you are playing any of the current gen fighters and are on the edge of rather or not to purchase the vita, let this sway you. Downtime at work I am performing brutalities and babealities while you are itchin to fight when you get home. =)

The only games i own are, ultimate marvel vs capcom 3, mk9 and soon, injustice ultimate edition!

There's a 64gb memory card coming out in Japan. Don't know about import charges. Cross Play is cool for beating PS3 players on your Vita. Remote play is crap as it's only good for streaming content from PS3 when in the bath.

Persona 4 Golden. Man oh man. I've dumped like 70 hours into it. It is one of my favorite games of all time.
MK9 is good, but don't expect good visuals.
MGS HD Collection.
DOA5+ - looks and plays great.
The Walking Dead.
Uncharted: Golden Abyss
Killzone Mercenary - looks great, plays great. EXTREMELY SHORT.
Rayman Origins
Unit 13
Soul Sacrifice - SUCKS. Seriously... stay away from it. Most overrated game on the system.

Mk9 looks like what you would expect a ported game to look like. What matters is that the physics and move frames have remained intact keeping the game whole while adding new costumes and a new challenge tower and fixed online gameplay. If nothing else; it is a taste of what to expect form injustice next month and that is a smooth promising port for a handheld!

Meh. It was a shoddy port in terms of graphics. DOA5+ hands down shows a port done right. I hope that NRS\Armature was taking notes. That being said, MK wasn't bad by any means. But DEM CLOSEUPS...

I agree. Pro's and con's... Pro's and con's. Reptiles DDFB 1 fatality lol at the pixel ratio there

UMVC3 looks nearly the same as the console version. Graphic wise, MK9 is a joke on the Vita, the game does play well and it's a good training tool on the go. Why did they have to remove Smoke's resets tho? If you like fighters, get a Vita, there's a bunch of them on it and more coming like Yatagarasu

My psn is Jeff n2Relax, I play MK9 all the time on the vita and will when injustice comes out.
