Not even sure if the Wii/DS supports my current internet settings, but I'll try one last grind before Nintendo shuts down WFC for good.

Just my subjective theory but it seems people are getting into a habit of thinking their opinion is more credible by mentioning broken, ST Akuma or Metaknight, and they usually aren't even a relevant comparison when they're brought up lol.

I've definitely seen it a few times, but Akuma was deliberately designed to troll Super Turbo, I don't see anyone can say that about any character in any game on this site.

Wrong or right at some point repeating the same points over and over again is unproductive as it changes nothing.

If people are serious about getting better and beating good Martians I would expect to see more counter-tech and questions being directed at how to beat him and how to blow him up as opposed to what we mainly see you know?

I don't think it's so much about finding answers or tech either, especially when you consider we have better means to do that than MK9. Sometimes it's simply about evaluating your composure and discipline as a player. It always cracked me up how during the Kabal shitstorm (and some degree Kenshi), the Kabal players got outplayed, yet the Kabal players weren't allowed to outplay you.

Pretty much. Sales probably didn't do that well for the Xbox versions. PS3 is way more popular in Japan, and the anime community in general prefers PS3 for the Blu-Ray.

That only applies to Street Fighter, and even then, they play on cabinets in tourney. Xbox360 as a console is barely relevant in Japan. Like I said, anime community prefers PS3.

Hmm, I was thinking that Art, but the explanation there still seems half-assed. I severely doubt the game exceeds 10GB in data nor would compression hinder locking at 60FPS, especially when you look at TTT2 where the 360 version is still serviceable to my knowledge.

Cyrax vs Kratos is either 4-6 in Kratos' advantage, or 5-5.
In the zoning game, Kratos has all the tools he needs to defend himself against Cyrax's barrage of nets and bombs. The slow startup of the arrows is not a problem for trading with the slow travel speed of the net, and the recovery is often fast enough to allow a parry against the net. (12% for both arrows)

While Cyrax may have a bit of a disadvantage here, I cannot deny that he is very scary because of his bullshit resets. Kratos can even himself out (or more) with the fact he can also easily convert punishes and parries into high-damage combos (56% highest meterless punish).

Also: Sorry for the alerts. :P

Lol no worries. Good assessment. It does seem like there's a lot of "what if"s though so I don't think 5-5 would be unreasonable. Granted, I don't play either character.

Would human Cyrax's differences make the matchup easier or tougher for Kratos in your opinion?

        Thanks.
        Mm-hmm.

I think Human Cyrax would be a little tougher for Kratos, since each of his bombs have a different, less predictable roll, in my opinion. His teleport is safer to use as well, which should help out in some situations.

I discovered that a few moves are able to punish Kabal's hookswords on block. With a special it's relatively easy since you can buffer the input during blockstun, but for Lao I'm not sure if I'm screwing up the input or if the 9th frame just doesn't reach.

9 frames is the startup frames, if there is enough pushback he might not get the punish. sektors ex tele is punishable on paper, it was -8 iirc but it is safe against lao's 6f spin. Using ex spin to punish the saw is like using spin to punish d1's, full combo punish if you mess up. its better to use 21 to punish buzzsaw. iirc the jab does the job if youre on point.

Yeah it was just out of curiousity. By the way, I meant the command overhead Kabal has which is -9. (I already knew the ground saw is punishable) Obviously a kara'd dash into 21/24 is still good since you can make him fear meter drain if he tried to EX Dash afterwards.

That situation was even more facepalm worthy. "I blocked his teleport low? My bad, I'm too busy muttering about his whack damage and the fact that he's always needed at least 3 bars before he's realistically expected to go for a fully punishable vortex to notice"
