You'd think more people would figure it out...100% character loyalty is stupid in this game. Even REO who plays the character who has the least bad MUs has to counter-pick Jax with Cage. Obviously CD Jr is an extremely good player, but it still proves that Kabal isn't an effortless win. If REO can master a character with a higher execution curve, and still play other characters, then what's the excuse?

People blow all this money to travel, knowing that REO is going to be there, then have no answer for Kabal and piss and moan about it...let's not forget that REO has repeatedly given videos on HOW TO BLOW UP KABAL. But nope, nobody wants to invest the time learning how to do that. It's just ridiculous how much people bitch about him, you see any other top representative of their character giving you an instructional video on how to blow up their character? Hell no.

The block infinite off of 2 NDC is the only thing that I'm concerned about for Kabal, aside from that I don't care all that much...at least people are acknowledging how good he is in this game ..he has everything and is very frustrating to fight though, but beatable.

It's still not stupid to play one character in this game, unless a character actually has 8-2 matches and such. Riu48's thread I agree with completely in regards to the top characters not needing any secondaries. Counterpicking isn't a requirement to win, it's a personal choice. 6-4 is 100% winnable, people even counterpick 5-5 matches though so it's whatever.

This is awful logic. Player skill and character ability are independent of each other.

Is it correct for one to say that since CDjr has the most tournament success, Jax and Smoke are the top 2 characters? No. So its also incorrect to say that since Kabal hasn't won the most tournaments, Kabal is not the best.

Almost every game I got shit for picking up the best character, race, etc by accident. I didn't even know kabal's potential when I picked him up. I saw reo and master d's vids a few days after I picked him up and was mind blown.

In cod it was my play style.
In the small mmo I was a top player for, I got shit for leading the best faction in the game. Even players within the faction hated me. shout outs to 12sky2 players

I do get a lot of respect playing kabal the way I do online but people really need to stop complaining. To get to that point where you have a god kabal is tough. Anyone that can get on that level should always get props because most of these guys will give up not even half way there. I hope I can get close eventually. Its taking a bit for me to level up now but I will never give up >.>

I was worrying about him getting nerfed when I picked him up but I don't even care now. Even with that buzzsaw nerf troll thread, I didn't care one bit. I don't need that damn saw to hit low. If I really need that quick low in mix-up and pressure, I'll sweep instead. I'll choose sweep over saw if I want to keep them close to me. Plus its so much safer and does 1% less on hit lol

My point is, is that REO gives you an actual instructional video on how to deal with the character. Does any other high level player give you critical information on how to beat their character? No. I think it's safe to say that REO wants people to level up, but again, pissing and moaning about a character requires no effort what so ever. I understand why REO's pissed off and annoyed, I don't blame him. It's just dumb.

"Oh well he's OP! I don't know how to deal with him! Blah blah blah" Well he openly tells you how! But again, it falls on deaf ears and everyone pissing and moaning instead.

REO is a good dude. Unfortunately that doesn't make Kabal less good.

Yes. I co-host a weekly podcast were I talk about beating Kitana nearly every episode.

I stand by my ranting, Kabal is silly. There's nothing wrong with players complaining about the game. You do it constantly so get off your high horse sir.

Pretty sure the point was that there is no point in crying over a character that can be overcome.

True, you do. It's just not a common theme to be totally honest. Nobody's downplaying Kabal, he's an extremely good character, but again he isn't impossible to beat. It may require learning a different character to deal with him, but isn't that MK in a nutshell regardless?

Besides the standing 2~NDC infinite on large hitbox characters (that needs to go) I really don't have a problem with Kabal. The info is there.

No one said he's impossible to beat. No one said top Kabal players don't deserve props. No one said they'd be blowing up top 8's if they played Kabal. No one said the complaining is meant to be productive. Drop the straw men and self righteousness.

Player skill dictates all of these tiers & MU's etc. CD Jr is just better. That or REO just clams up and doesnt play it right.
