General/Other Skarlet: I predict will be the next bandwagon

i was thinking the same thing just yesterday, that Skarlet is very underexposed and how one day she'll blow up top players like nobody's business.

Skarlet is good and her EX Red Dash is so good but everything is so punishable on block from it. That will be her downside and the fact that her zoning trade is never in her favor and her unsafe teleport. Shes good but when people know how to fight her its tough for Skarlet.

This. Many people don't know how to fight her so they automatically think she's a top character after losing to her. If you don't know a thing about Skarlet, you will get stuck in her long blockstrings and lose. There are certain blockstrings which you can and cannot poke out of, so if you don't take the time to study her frame data, you'll get blown up. I do think that she has potential though, and I hope Ninj brings her to the top at EVO.

off topic: Because of all the talk about Freddy 95% of it boils down to "I hate guest characters in fighting games, he doesn't belong in mk." There's only (edit: 3) freddy players I can think of off the top of my head, and I got rolled by one of them.

Freddy will be the next bandwagon. Hes ridiculous. He can end every string with EX ground claw or teleport away which makes it safe. He has good anti-cross up. He has probably the best zoning in the game with kenshi and frame traps with projectiles. A really good armored move and even better in the corner. The only thing hurting him is his high hit box. Freddy rushdown is also really good with is low combo starter and overhead starter and a ridiculous damage output as well. Also unbreakable combos with the ground claws. I predicted for a long time how nasty this character is but no1 really used him at his highest potential.

CDsr is gonna bust him out at the MLG Arena on Sat night... I also get to play against DarKNaTaS ' Freddy and hes disgustingly underrated.. I say hes the best Freddy...

It will take someone winning a major trophy in front of a major audience, also someone who truly mains the character, not just using her as a pocket pick (wink wink nod nod ninj, its time to reign in blood)

As far as bandwagon followers, they will quit after dagger cancels don't win matches on their own, and whiffed teleports eat full combos. Skarlet has no spammable tactics, every matchup is different and she has to use all of her tools to have success.

I think the most improbable thing in your post is the idea that Ninj would ever play offline for any reason. We've been trying to get him to come to New England's offline meetups for months with no success.

i.hate.skarlet. i dropped her online play with her is like being stabbed in the dick repeatedly its that unbearable ( for me at least) and that F2121+2 string is the bain of my existence.

I was debating about weather to drop her or not. Emp skar and used for glue told me to stick with it...I'm convinced. I'm not on the level of ninj yet and I hear emp skar is wrecking shit over in houston.
