Copying this from VAL 's event in the "Events" tab:

Mortal Kombat will be at Naptown Clutch Indianapolis.

Naptown Clutch is the biggest Tournament Tilt Studio holds every year. While it is primarily a Capcom based tournament, this year they are including Mortal Kombat into the mix.

I will be running the Mortal Kombat tournament on PS3. All the usual tournament rules apply. We will actually be running two tournaments for Mortal Kombat. One will be the standard 1v1 tournament we all are familiar with. The other will start on day two of Naptown Clutch and that will be a Mortal Kombat Team tournament. So two people as a team vs. two people as a team.

I can not guarantee any streaming because I don’t know how good Tilt’s Internet is, but I will be sure to capture the top 8 of each tournament and post it here on TYM. I will let you know when we are closer to the date if we will have a stream set up.

Tilt Studio is a 26,000 sq ft arcade that primarily caters to the racing scene and ticket farmers. But they have a good selection of fighters like KOF 11, Soul Caliber 3, Tekken 5, and they also have these (x-box in an arcade) machines that have Street Fighter 4 AE 2012, MVC3, and Tekken 6.

They have some other good games like Star Wars Trilogy arcade, After Burner Climax, a full sized Indy 500 4 player racer, and Hydro thunder. I could not list all there games, but they have a bunch..

They've always had walk-up registration, so I'm assuming that they won't be changing that up.

Yeah this seems like something I could make maybe.
That'd be awesome if you did, dude. You guys on the SZ forums have really helped me with my Subby game, these past few months, so it'd be really cool to meet you in person. :)

LOL glad there is a satisfied customer :)
I'll try to get in touch with the Louisville guys. 5 hours is a long long drive :)

Thinkin of goin to this. I know you won't be able to know how many people will be there, but how many guys are expected to come from the local scene that will be confirmed?

Hello all, while I'm not running Naptown Clutch II, I did do a PowerUp Podcast with the event organizers, Gregg (Barzaad) and Mike (Assistant Manager at Tilt Studios).

Check it out; it may answer some of your lingering questions about the event!

PowerUp Podcast Episode #75: Naptown Clutch II: Broken Threshold

As far as MK attendance, Mike is really excited about getting as many locals as he can. They all even have a local MK group which allows them to get together and play regularly. I would guess that you're looking at at least 10 dedicated players from the Indianapolis scene.

And I can confirm that a stream is in the works. Arcade Legacy's stream service, headed up by Zach Marquette (Ailerus) will be in attendance and will work with whatever internet Tilt Studios can provide. The only problem would be if the internet connection just can't hold up, but things look good for now.

Will we be seeing you there, Nathan?

My ps3 is YLOD so no Mk practice for me but I won't need it cuz i know for a fact Indiana = free win. I can't wait to win the 30$ grand prize and spend it on crack.

MK was never streamed. HOWEVER, there was a station for recording tournament matches (and there were two other stations, but with no recording hardware). Those should be uploaded sometime later this week.

Shoutouts to GGA for blowing us up, but then letting us play MANY hours of casuals with them. You guys are super cool and are welcome to come back anytime and expose us some more!

lol

They did not stream this so now this became a shitty local tournament. Prepare for shitty phone recordings to be put on youtube of Indiana getting dominated by Illinois.

The Finals and Grand Finals of the Tag Team tournament was the only MK that was streamed all weekend. :( That can be found via http://www.twitch.tv/arcadelegacy/b/309886381

I'm a bit bummed out by that being the only MK streamed, but shoutouts to Arcade Legacy for letting me commentate what WAS streamed. That was my first experience commentating, so I hope that I didn't do TOO terribly. :)

Grand Finals of the regular 1v1 tournament was recorded via capture card and I am currently on the lookout for that being uploaded. Once I see that's done, I'll post the link here. Grand Finals was Kanye West vs. GGA Dizzy.

Also, multiple pool matches were recorded via capture card. Currently waiting for those to be uploaded, as well....
