Yeah, d3 builds hella meter on block and is +3 on hit. Combined with cancels to elbow to check blocked d3 punish attempts, I'd say it's a pretty strong tool for pressure.

Also, I have some serious ideas for EX spit.

Reposting this about d3:
For some reason, advantage changes when landing low pokes against crouch, but at least it should be universal. Down 1 decreases by 2, down 3 adds 7 and down 4 decreases by 7.
I haven't checked whether it is the same for Reptile though.

I had been using d3, but it didnt work out for me due to the range of push back it gives. I didnt know it is that good, thanks for the frame data

My ideas were using it just inside of elbow range to push you out of it for a way in. That +3 advantage is huge...basically only a small minority of characters are gonna be able to hit you right as you whiff. Also, it's a 21f instant ranged special, which is really good.

Very interesting, great idea. Doesn't it also have ridiculous advantage on trade?? I vaguely remember Sabin bringing that up a few months back.

Hmmm I wonder if 124 on hit into ex spit would provide enough pushback for dash distance since 124 doesn't link but on hit knocks you pretty far back... Damn work, I want to be in the lab lol

Pretty sure it does. I actually got time to test out using EX spit to open up elbow whiffs...the range on it is HUGE. I never really realized it went that far. And the pushback is really sufficient to get to that elbow range. Also, the move isn't 100% instant...there's a little delay from max range, and it's noticable and the move has no noticable extra recovery on block than it does on whiff...which means there's likely even more advantage based on when it hits.

Man this is huge for when people are just dash blocking up like crazy to get in your dead zone and another use for 124! And it can't be jumped out unless they want damage (can you tell I hate people that jump lol) If Ex spit actually had advantage on hit, I'd feel more comfortable using it. Doing this to any teleporter and then trying to zone them immediately (which seems like it was the idea behind it) is basically like giving them a wake up attack lol.

Yeah, if it were at least neutral on hit, it'd be absolutely perfect. But as it is now is just fine, though.

Reptile's options with meter are crazy good. He has no useless EX moves! One bar = Reptile can do a lot of stuff really well.

Yeah neutral would be nice. My only other wish list since the frames of forceballs will never change would be if EX ball had armor (not projectile armor because that would be far to dirty :)) so you could bait JIP/K and that dash was a wakeup attack (i hate getting poked out of ex dash, its infuriating).

The reset is anything ending in 2f31+2. They can block the 1+2, which leaves them standing at heavy disadvantage on their part, or they can take the extra hit, which will be unscaled to 7% and leaves them vulnerable to post-elbow-style wakeup. Effectively, unblocked reset = Reptile's most damaging combo.

that's what I thought.. I noticed his f3 1+2 leaves them standing... My biggest problem is playing GGA Dizzy's Cage... It's so hard to get out of his pressure when he's in. I feel like I literally can't poke out of anything he does. I end up having to use EX Slide to get out of anything.

if you do the reset and it hits you actually have time to go into invisibility and take out an ex fb before wake up too. Its ridiculous.

I really don't think the reset is that useful. I find 321 ender with ex or normal fb to be muuuch more effective. Lately I have been ending 321 with a charged x ffb to greeat effect. Even if it is blocked it leaves you at advantage and if you throw out a sfb right after the opponnebt will jump right on it because of the pushback of the x ffb. Many people expect a x sfb and most of the time will be hit by it. Also the x ffb conditions the opp to block after a 321 knockdown then you can throw a x sfb and continue with intense pressure. I've used this in the last two assylum tournies with amazing results

You are right, the reset isnt useful at all since you know... It can shut down raiden's teleport, kabal's ex dash, sonya's ex kartwheel, noob's upshadow, smoke's ex teleport to get out of pressure. Did I forget +8 on block, and extra damage on hit?

lol sarcasm... ok with the reset you get a dash after maybe or a acid hand... with fb it almost always leads to way moredamage if youre smart about it...but to each his own.. and ive played around with "reset" alooooot. i tried making it part of my game but i have noticed that the follow up is not nearly as effective but it doesnt require meter so ill give you that

You don't even need meter to make the reset usable. The threat of an unavoidable elbow is big enough, because that's another 11% tacked onto already 38%. It also removes the element of wakeup attacks. Altogether, it's an amazing tool to use, and honestly much better than anything ending in 321.

lol i love how you state that its better as a fact.. its a neat tool but for me the fbs have worked much better.. i usually get much higher damage with the follow up fb than the reset.. like i said to each his own.. also yea you have an inescapable dash but what if he holds block and a good player will punish.. yea you can use ex dash which i think is the best option by far but like the ex fb you waste meter.. my point is just cus you think its better which i dont doubt works for you, it doesnt mean that it is better. was just giving my opinion on why i think x fb follow up is better

Im just gonna post this incase no one know about this, with the f3 1+2 reset. You can cancel the recovery animation and do an inescapable d4, acidhand/invin. So yeah, free invisibility on hit d4.

I put the pc on jump, if it tries to jump out. It will eat about 13% of d4+acid hand

No man, that's fine that you're giving your opinion on it. And honestly I encourage it because, in the long run, everyone's opinion benefits me because it helps me learn more about Reptile. And I'm sure this is helping everyone else.
