This has always baffled me. So do people devalue your tournament placing because of the character that you use? DAFUQ!!!

It happens, even top players have done it (I know I have lol), but at the end of the day others could do the same thing with an OP character

Just to be totally neutral in this talk, despite how "broke" BS Shinnok is, I HIGHLY doubt I could pick that character up and place top 8 at a major, solely based on the character. That's just my two cents though.

I know you want to rep your squad and I respect that, but that last sentence makes no sense considering WoundCowboy just won EGL playing almost literally a member of YOMI every single match in tournament.

There's that, and yomi lose to other people all the time.
The 2 that seem to keep on top the most are undoubtedly the Terry brothers though.

Ultimately, we're all just Sonic Fox's bitches though, so who cares.

YOMI locals are very different from majors however lol, first match could be like him vs king then after if he won vs like me or if he lost vs kush and etc. Winning a YOMI local is like being in top 16 at a major essentially.

I did not put you in my top 8 because from what I can see on video (my impression is personal and might be totally wrong) in your games I can't perceive your style or anything, to me it looks like you play almost every character at a good level but in a very standard and mechanical way.

Works well against the ones that don't know too much of the matchup or are average players, that get absolutely destroyed.
Still ok but less dangerous against the real top players or the ones that know your characters well, in fact you counterpick a lot just to surprise imho.

It's just my impression, don't take it as an insult or anything.

I think Zyphox is kinda underrated.. well underrated for a Yomi member as the team is strong. Still Zyphox doesn't seam to get the love he deserves.

..... Damn I guess I haven't beat sonic or the EGL winner cowboy or honeybee.... Oh wait have already beat them lol. Also I almost only use Tanya (used her and only Sonya two times and kitana once but the other 9 matches I won I used Tanya) so check ur statements before making them.

It's not harder than placing top 8 at Evo. But winning a Yomi (with all Yomi players in attendance) is definitely harder than placing top 8 at any tournament besides Evo

Whens the last time you've won anything besides EGL? At my Yomi locals I use my random side characters, it doesn't mean anything. Ive won 3 Yomi locals which is the most anyone has won

I already admitted MIT should be in there instead of cowboy so it would be

5. MIT

Also I'd like to compare mikes, @HoneyBee and your MKX tourney record to make sure i didn't blunder like I did w MIT and cowboy

To be fair though, winning the Superbowl is the result of:
-Having a top record in your division in the regular season to make the playoffs
-Outlasting the rest of the playoff field over multiple weeks to make the Superbowl
-Playing better on the day of the Superbowl

Placing at EVO is the result of:
-Playing really well on the day of EVO pools

While I still think EVO should count for more based on what it is, it should definitely not be considered the Superbowl of fighting game play, since it's one isolated tournament on one day + finals, and not the culmination of a full season of competitive play.
